Fiat Chrysler announced on Tuesday that it will be opening a Jeep manufacturing facility in Detroit as part of a $4.5 billion dollar investment in Southeast Michigan.
The plan entails the creation of 6,500 new jobs, as well as the reopening of the Mack Avenue Engine Complex on the city's east side, the Free Press reports. The facility is slated to manufacture the next generation of Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs, as well as a new three-row full-size SUV.…
