General Motors announced on Friday that it would be extending production at its Detroit-Hamtramck factory until early 2020.
The plant was originally slated to stop production in June of 2019. The company now says that production of the Chevrolet Impala and Cadillac CT6 will extend through early January 2020, AP reports.

In November, General Motors announced that the car company would be halting production at several plants, including a transmission plant in Warren, as well as plants in Ohio, Maryland, and Ontario.
The Detroit-Hamtramck plant currently employs around 700 hourly workers, GM spokesperson Dan Flores told AP.…
