Commuters crossing the Ambassador Bridge today will find that the toll will cost them much less than it did yesterday.
Starting Tuesday, Feb. 18, the Ambassador Bridge is rolling out its new commuter fee of $2.60 (U.S.) – a two dollar increase from the previous fee of $4.60. The fee will apply to commuters crossing from either side of the border.
In addition to lower fees, the Ambassador Bridge will also be opening up an additional commuter lane to ease traffic flow.
"The Bridge will open a third lane for commuters from Canada to the US every weekday morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and a third lane for commuters US to Canada every weekday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m," bridge president Dan Stamper announced in a press statement.…
