
Delta says it is investigating the death of a pet dog that occurred during a layover at Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Wednesday, which was discovered dead with blood on a blanket in its crate.
The dog — an 8-year-old Pomeranian named Alejandro — died en route from Phoenix to New Jersey while in its crate at the airport's cargo facility. The owner, Michael Dellagrazie told WDIV:
‘‘When he landed here in Michigan, he was alive at 6:30 a.m., and then at 8:20, he wasn’t moving and it just doesn’t make any sense to me. ...…
