Pulitzer prize winning Free Press columnist and Detroit media icon Stephen Henderson has been terminated from the daily after its management says credible allegations surfaced that his behavior was "inconsistent with company values and standards.”The Free Press announced Henderson's termination in an article today, stating that the firing follows an internal investigation that uncovered inappropriate behavior toward some women at the paper. The investigation was launched after Detroit minister W.J. Rideout III held a Dec. 6 news conference in which he said Henderson had sexually harassed women.
Rideout, who hosts a radio show on WFDF (910 Superstation), was suspended by the station for failing to divulge to management the identities of the unnamed victims he was speaking out on behalf of. Rideout also said WXYZ anchor Malcom Maddox had committed sexual harassment.…
